ALEX Toys Future Coders Poppin' Pictures review

Can you guys believe that the Holidays are right around the corner? Time to start thinking about Christmas gifts for family and friends.
And just in time, when people like you and me try to come up with ideas of what to gift this Christmas, I had the opportunity to test a new ALEX Toy named Future Coders Poppin' Pictures for children 4+.

The ALEX Toys Future Coders Poppin' Pictures is a fun picture creator toy. It features many different colored, about quarter-sized, plastic tiles that children put on an 8x8 grid. Included are 20 pixel image cards that show easy to follow patterns of symbols on one side, where each symbol stands for a color and the child has to copy the same pattern by placing the right tiles on the grid, and when he/she is done they can turn the card around to see if they created the right image shown on the card.

While this is a neat and interesting idea, I don't think it really teaches much about coding. My children had more fun being creative and making their own images with the colored tiles instead of doing the same cards over and over.

A major flaw we encountered is the suction pencil tool, which is supposed to be used to put in the tiles and to help remove them from the grid. The pencil was too difficult to use for my children, since you have to press in and hold the button, then hold the pencil tool onto a tile and then let go of the button to create suction. My children got tired of trying to use this pencil tool and chose to dump out the tiles after completing an image, which is the only other way to get the flat tiles out of the grid. I like that the grid is the shape of a robot, and that the tiles can be stored in the mouth, and that the lid of this small storage compartment can be used to hold up the image cards when open. The storage compartment is rather narrow and it is a little bit difficult to get out the tiles. While my children enjoyed this toy at first, it didn't keep their interest very long. This toy is recommended for age 4+, but I think that this toy should be for kids 5 years and older, who are more responsible and understand to be careful enough not to let the tiles fall to the ground, because it's definitely not fun picking up close to 200 tiles off of the floor.

Suave Moroccan Infusion Color Care & Degree deodorant reviews

A few weeks ago I received a goodie box with a couple of great personal care products from the Unilever company to sample for free, through a sampling activation of the brand on Crowdtap, in exchange for my honest review.

I am going to list the products I received and what I think about each one of them. So let's get started!

• Suave Professionals Moroccan Infusion Color Care Shampoo for color treated & dull hair

This color care shampoo smells amazing, it makes my hair incredibly smooth and shiny. It contains real Moroccan Argan Oil to help restore dull and damaged color-treated hair, while adding wonderful shine. I love that my hair looks vibrant and smells great for a long time. Even the following day after washing, I can still get a whiff of the amazing scent every now and then. The shampoo has a creamy and rich consistency, and is easy to apply. It creates a luxurious lather, and is also easy to rinse off. I really love the golden colored sleek bottle, it makes the product definitely stand out on the shelves in stores! I give this product a five out of five stars! I highly recommend it!

 

 

• Suave Professional Moroccan Infusion Color Care Conditioner for color treated & dull hair

This color care conditioner also smells really good! It is rich, thick and creamy, and easy to apply. The real Moroccan Argan Oil in it helps make my hair feel super soft, smooth and full of shine, which I love! The wonderful scent is long-lasting, even the day after washing I can still smell it, which I really like. What I would like to see improved is the combability this product gives my hair after use, as I experienced some stubborn tangles when brushing my hair. Also, this conditioner seems a bit too heavy on my fine hair, because when I didn't wash it daily I ended up having hair that looked very oily and "dirty". I think this product would suit people that have thick and/or curly hair better than people like me who have fine hair that tends to flatten with heavy conditioners like this. I give this product 4 out of five stars, I recommend you guys try it yourselves to see how you like it!

 

 

 

• Degree MotionSense DrySpray Stress Control 48hr antiperspirant

What I love about this deodorant spray is that it goes on instantly dry, no icky wetness you usually experience when using a deodorant in spray form. I LOVE the smell! Very fresh and long-lasting scent. I love the reliable protection from odors and underarm wetness, which is a must if you work out a lot like me, or experience stress sweating, etc. I definitely recommend this product! Love it! Five out of five stars! Will definitely buy again.

 

 

• Degree Clinical Protection Stress Control MotionSense Anti-Perspirant

This Degree Clinical Protection deodorant comes in a cream-like form that gets dispensed through little holes at the top of the deodorant bottle. It goes on smooth but wet, and takes a little time to dry. This deodorant smells very fresh and clean, I really like this scent and how long it lasts! It works well at preventing sweat and odors. What I don't like about this deodorant is that it's a white creamy product, which takes a little while to dry up, and it also leaves really bad white stains on clothing. This is very annoying, especially if you're getting ready, eventually running late, and then come to realize you need a whole outfit change due to stains on your clothing. This definitely needs to get improved, because this would be a deciding factor in if I will buy this product again. Otherwise a great product that I recommend you give it a try, it works amazingly well to protect you from sweating! Four out of five stars from me for this product!

 

• Degree Dry Protection Fresh Invisible Solid Anti-Perspirant & Deodorant

This is definitely my favorite product that I received! It smells amazing, the scent lasts super long, and it reliably keeps me feeling fresh and dry, even during physical activity. I love that I can smell this deodorant instead of any body odor during exercise! This product works very well, and I love that it goes on clear as it is an invisible solid deodorant. Five out of five stars! I love how fresh and clean this product makes me feel and I highly recommend this product if you're looking for a good quality deodorant that works and is not overpriced.

Dr. Lancer The Method 3-step skincare regimen

I received this Dr. Lancer's The Method 3-step skincare system complimentary from Influenster for testing and reviewing purposes, in exchange for my honest opinion.
Not only does the packaging look very sleek, but these products are SO good for the skin!

Dr. Lancer's The Method is a daily 3-step skincare regimen developed by the amazing and knowledgeable Dr. Lancer to nourish and renew skin for a healthy glow and a more youthful look. First step is using the Polish, which has plenty of super small sized nano beads that gently yet effectively polish away impurities. After rinsing it off, I follow with the Cleanse step, which is a gentle foaming cleanser that deeply cleans pores and leave the skin refreshed and soft. The last step is using the Nourish lightweight moisturizer that leaves skin nourished and hydrated throughout the day. I love that Dr. Lancer's The Method is extremely gentle, smells wonderful, and leaves my skin hydrated, smooth and soft. I love the healthy glow these products give my skin! My skin looked brighter, more even skin tone, and my pores were less noticeable. Truly amazing!

I hope everyone is doing well!

 

This month I had the opportunity to try a complimentary sample of C&H Quick Dissolve Superfine Sugar through a sampling activation of the C&H Sugar brand on Crowdtap.

 

 

My first impression was a very positive one. I really love the sleek look, feel and design of the container! It's easy to hold, has a convenient flip-top lid to pour just the right amount of sweetness into your beverage, and the cute, sleek bottle is pretty enough to leave out on the counter or table for decoration! The sugar crystals are very fine and small, and quickly dissolve in hot or cold beverages, and even foods. This is definitely an item that fits great into my family's daily life. SPLENDA ZERO Liquid Sweetener

Hey everyone!

Today I want to let you guys know about a new sweetener I was able to try out for free, thanks to Crowdtap!

I had high expectations when I received this product, as I just can't stand the taste of artificial sweeteners, and every single one I've tried before was bad tasting and just couldn't replace the sweetness and taste of real sugar in my beverages.
But, to be honest, I was positively surprised by the new SPLENDA ZERO Liquid Sweetener! I actually enjoyed the new and improved taste, there was no taste of artificial sweetness in my drinks I prepared with this product. I love that this sweetener has zero calories, which means zero compromises! A great and much healthier alternative to using real sugar. I'm sooo excited to tell you guys about my newest beauty product discovery! I recently received a free sample of two Marc Jacobs High-Impact Matte Highliners Gel Eye Crayons through a sampling activation of the brand on Crowdtap. in return for my honest review.

 

My first impression was that the eyeliner pencils looked sleek and of high quality. I didn't expect too much, since I've tried many eyeliners before and none of them were really great.

 

Little did I know how AMAZING these Marc Jacobs Highliners Matte Gel Eye Crayons are!! They are sooo smooth and easy to work with, they glide on easily and make drawing precise lines extremely easy! With a built-in sharpener you're sure to always have the eyeliner on point to create a gorgeous look. You can easily blend this eyeliner for a beautiful smoky eye look, or create bold graphic effects, or simple line your eyes to make them pop! I just fell in love with the beautiful highly pigmented light pink shade I've received, it's so bright, vibrant and cheerful, it just makes me happy and complements my eye color to make them pop. I can't wait to buy more shades to try, there are so many more pretty shades available, you guys have to check them out! Also, I was impressed that the color does not settle in creases and fine wrinkles, unlike other eyeliner or eyeshadows! This is truly a long-lasting, high quality eyeliner that I definitely recommend! This is - hands down! - the best eyeliner I've ever tried so far!

Today I would like to tell you about a super fun sampling opportunity my kids and me had recently.

My first impression of the BIC Gel-ocity Quick Dry Gel Pens was that all of the colors were bright, beautiful and so vibrant! The three colors I received are purple, pink and turquoise. When trying them out for the first time I noticed how smooth they write! These gel pens feature a 0.7 mm medium ballpoint, and best of all: they are retractable, which means they are kept safe from drying out or leaking in pockets, pencil cases, or backpacks! I love how much fun these are to write with!

Simple shopping lists, handwritten notes, cards or letters, notes in class, everything is so much more fun and brighter when customized with the beautiful colors of BIC Gel-ocity Quick Dry Gel Pens! Compared to the average drying times of blue, black and red ink gel pens, these dry up to 3x faster! This means less smearing and smudging, even for left-handed writers and younger children! My kids loved trying these out over their summer break, and they really loved to draw with them, to write down their favorite memories, and to create their back to school shopping lists. They said they are easy to hold and write with, even for longer periods of time, thanks to their comfortable full barrel grips. ALMAY One Coat Mega Volume Mascara

Hey ladies!
Recently I tried out the all new Almay One Coat Mega Volume Mascara. It features a cool new and unique megaphone shaped brush that reaches every single lash on upper and lower lash lines! It took a few tries, but after a couple of uses I got the hang of it and really liked it. The brush's shape works very well at creating length and volume, and also at separating my eye lashes. What I didn't like was that with this new shaped brush you tend to go over all lashes multiple times to get every single lash, but the formula is specifically formulated for one coat only, so it tends to quickly stick lashes together and create clumps when applied multiple times. Overall, this is a great and affordable mascara that creates voluminous, long lashes for a bold & dramatic look that will sure get you noticed!

 o.b. Original Super Tampons review

Hi guys! :)

I wanted to share about my latest sampling mission! I recently received a free sample of o.b. Original Super tampons from Smiley360, in exchange for my honest opinion about this product. I really like the small size! They're super easy and discreet to take along. They easily fit into the pocket or even your hand, thanks to the applicator-free design, which makes it also a much less wasteful alternative, helping reduce waste for our environment. I like that even though these tampons are small in size, they're big in protection! They feature a unique fluid lock design, with a spiral grooves pattern wrapping around each tampon, for superior protection from leaks. They worked well and feel comfortable to wear. Going applicator-free was less of a problem than expected, after a few tries it was easy  and felt more natural than using an applicator! I recommend o.b.!

Revlon Mega Multiplier Mascara

Revlon Mega Multiplier Mascara review

I received a free sample of Revlon Mega Multiplier Mascara in the shade Plum Brown through a sampling activation of the brand on Crowdtap. What I like about this mascara is the brush that helps easily apply the mascara to every single lash, top and bottom, and it does a good job keeping the lashes separated and preventing them from clumping. Right away I could see a huge difference of the appearance of my lashes, they were truly multiplied and appeared much fuller and a little bit longer. I like the look this mascara gives me, it really helps make my eyes pop! The only disappointment was the color shade, which was supposed to be plum brown, and while I was able to see the color directly on the mascara's brush, I was not able to distinguish it once applied to my lashes. While looking beautiful the color was just not there at all, instead they appeared black or very dark. My natural lashes are a light color, so there was no reason for the color to not be able to be seen. I love the mascara, and would love a lengthening effect added to the formula! Hopefully the color shades will get improved, that was the only let down of this product. I was really excited to try the plum brown shade with my green blue colored eyes!

L'Oréal Infallible Total Cover Foundation, Blend Artist, Color Correcting Kit palette, and Conceal & Contour palette

I really love the coverage and weightless feel of the L'Oréal Infallible Total Cover Foundation! It's a foundation that provides full coverage for face and body for up to 24 hours, while being totally weightless on the skin. I liked how easy it was to put on, and thanks to the fine tip of the tube it comes in it is super easy to squeeze out the exact amount you need! A little bit goes a long way with this foundation, and in combination with the wonderful L'Oréal beauty blender tool it was easy to apply evenly and blend the foundation into my facial skin. The coverage is very good! It helped hide all of my imperfections of my facial skin, such as red acne spots and fine lines, and it helped even my skin tone for a flawless, fresh look. I really love the weightless feel of this foundation! There is no heavy, greasy "mask-like" feel to it, so the skin is able to breathe. Besides amazing coverage, this foundation truly lasted throughout the day! I highly recommend this product!

Another must-have for makeup lovers is this easy to use blender tool! The L'Oréal  Infallible Blend Artist Foundation is a great sponge-type blender tool! It is soft and bouncy, and with its pointed side you can reach difficult to reach areas (such as around your nose and the delicate eye area) really well to precisely blend in your foundation with your skin, to create an even finished look! The opposite end of the beauty blender has a bigger, slightly rounded surface, which is perfect to apply the foundation onto larger areas such as the cheeks and forehead. All you need to do is apply a little bit of foundation and gently dab it onto the skin, blending it in with soft rolling motions. It's super easy to use, even for beginners that are new using beauty blenders. What I love most about this beauty blender is the soft material! It is soft and bouncy, and makes it effortless to apply the perfect amount of foundation and blend it in really well. Also, it does not absorb much of the foundation at all, so you have minimal wasted product and helps you use less, which is great. I recommend the L'Oréal Infallible Blend Artist Foundation Blender! Awesome little tool, a must-have for every makeup lover!

Now you can color correct like a pro with this great little palette! I absolutely love the L'Oréal Infallible Total Cover Color Correcting Kit palette! It has all the necessary colors to correct skin discolorations and imperfections for a balanced and clear complexion, and it is also very simple to use. With the four color correcting colors in this palette you can create a nice and flawless look. The texture of the colors is creamy and soft, this makes it easy to apply to the skin and blend in, in order to neutralize unwanted skin discolorations caused by redness, acne marks and dark under eye circles. I experience enlarged pores on my cheeks and I think the creamy texture is perfect to easily blend in and minimize the appearance of enlarged pores, and also to hide fine wrinkles such as under the eyes and between the brows. This palette is the perfect beginner's palette, because on the back side it features instructions about which color is used for which type of discoloration, such as the green color to neutralize redness, the peach color to cover under eye circle discoloration, the yellow color to help alleviate other discolorations such as those occurring on the eye lids, and finally the purple color that can be applied along the cheekbone lines to brighten dull skin for a more radiant complexion and look. This palette comes complete with a small (about quarter sized) square spongy blender tool  with rounded edges, that blends fairly well. I like this color correcting palette a lot, and I highly recommend it!

The L'Oréal Infallible Total Cover Conceal & Contour palette makes it easy to conceal and contour like a pro! This is a versatile palette that features 4 different shades, from tan to brown, which can be used individually or blended together to create your desired own color shades. This palette provides full coverage that can be used to conceal skin imperfections, such as dark under eye circles, and even scars. It can also be used to contour the face to accentuate your facial features by emphasizing your cheekbones, nose and jawline for a flawless look. I really love the creamy texture, which makes it easy to blend into the skin, or to blend the shades together to create your own customized shades, just like pros do! Even though the shades have a creamy texture there is no greasy feel once applied, which makes it totally weightless and comfortable to wear all day! This palette really helps hide skin imperfections and creates a flawless, fresh look that lets you glow! I also like that this palette comes ready to use complete with a small (quarter-sized) spongy square applicator sponge with rounded edges, which helps blend in the cream shades effortlessly. I highly recommend this product!

Almay Healthy Glow Makeup + Gradual Self Tan

I received a free sample of Almay Healthy Glow Makeup + Gradual Self Tan for testing purposes, courtesy of Crowdtap.

I wasn't too sure how well it would match my light skin tone, and especially how well the self-tanning would work. I have to say, I was absolutely impressed with this product right after the first use! I love how easy it was to put on. The bottle pumps out the makeup and self-tanner side-by-side, and you're supposed to blend the two together, which I found difficult to do on my fingertips, so I just applied it to my face directly, and blended it together there, which made it easy to then smooth it all over my face. I love the coverage it gives me, it looks natural and makes my facial skin look great. For me it helped make the appearance of large pores, dark circles under the eyes, and minor imperfections disappear. I felt prettier, and my skin had a healthy and nice glow! I also love that it has an SPF 20 included to protect the skin from harmful UV rays outdoors, no need for additional sunscreen products. I like the gradual self-tan that appeared over the first few days, it didn't look streaky or unnatural at all, which I love! I'm a person that has a hard time tanning my face because it is so fair, but this product really impressed me and gave me a nice soft tanned look, which reminded me of being on vacation. I love the light feel of this makeup/self-tan product, it doesn't feel heavy or mask-like unlike other makeup products I've tried before, and it doesn't leave any greasy residue on the skin, which is an important factor for me, because I have sensitive skin that easily breaks out. I absolutely love this product, and highly recommend you give it a try! I will definitely purchase this again.

I like this new L'Oréal Air Dry It Wave Swept Spray! It is an easy way to style my hair without any heat, and it also saves me time when I get ready. What I love about this product is that I can spray it directly into my towel dried hair, then give my hair a few scrunches, and my look is complete. It's super simple, and I like that it creates wonderful beachy soft waves! I was a little skeptical at first, but I'm happy that it works well for my mostly straight hair. This spray kept frizz under control all day long, and the soft waves lasted throughout the day, too. Even if you have very straight hair you can put your hair in braids, after spraying it with this product, to get a natural wavy look for your hair. One thing I would like to see improved about this product is the drying time after using this spray, because my hair seemed to take longer to dry completely. I recommend you guys give this product a try! I really like the results it gives me!

The new Suave Professionals Avocado & Olive Oil range is amazing! I received a free sample of Suave Professionals Avocado Oil shampoo, conditioner & leave-in conditioning cream for testing purposes, courtesy of Suave and Crowdtap, in exchange for my honest opinion. I am absolutely in love with these products! I have very long hair that is color-treated and has been bleached previously, so there is lots of damage mostly at the ends, which makes it very hard to comb after each wash, and I have also many frizzy ends sticking out all over, which is really frustrating because I never seem to find the perfect shampoo & conditioner set for my hair concerns. I wasn't expecting much different results than with previously shampoos & conditioners I've tried, but I was honestly blown away with how well the new Suave Professionals Avocado & Olive Oil range of products worked for my hair! The shampoo has a nice creamy texture, not too thick and not too runny, which made it super easy to apply and get good coverage throughout my hair. What I noticed right away is that this shampoo created a much more "gentle" foam, and didn't tangle up my long ends, but instead smoothed them nicely and kept them straight and untangled! Other shampoos I've tried were a mess, creating extreme tangles by just washing my hair with them, and not even conditioner use afterwards was able to get the tangles out, it was a disaster. Anyways, after using the Suave Professionals Avocado & Olive Oil shampoo, I rinsed my hair, and to my surprise my hair already felt smooth and soft. Next, I used the Suave Professionals Avocado & Olive Oil conditioner, it has a great texture, is easy to apply and best of all, I didn't seem to use a lot to get good coverage everywhere, especially my ends that are in need of some extra TLC. Rinsing off the conditioner, my hair felt amazingly smooth, kind of like a waterfall, I couldn't feel any tangles at all. Once out of the shower, I was so happy to be able to comb my hair so easily and quick, it was definitely a nice change to my daily struggle with my hair. Last, I followed up with the Suave Professionals Avocado & Olive Oil leave-in conditioning cream, by putting a quarter-sized amount of the leave-in conditioning cream in the palm of my hands, rubbing them together and then evenly applying it all over my hair, concentrating on the areas where I usually experience most of the frizz, which is my ends and then all throughout the rest of my hair, especially the top of my head where I tend to have small frizzy ends, the result of broken off, damaged hairs that stick out all over. I then dried my hair and styled it as usual. My hair felt so much healthier, softer, with much more body and a wonderful shine to it. What I loved the most about the Suave Professionals Avocado & Olive oil range of products is the unforgettable scent! I love it! So fresh, relaxing, and pampering while showering, and the scent is long-lasting afterwards too! I've received so many nice compliments since I started using these products! The leave-in conditioning cream has helped my hair so much by taming the frizz to keep my hair looking beautiful and sleek, and best of all it doesn't weigh my hair down and is not greasy. Even the following day my hair still feels incredibly soft, fresh, and clean. I've always been a huge fan of Suave Professionals shampoo & conditioner sets, I buy them all the time for their good value and great results, and I can honestly say that I'm extremely pleased with my testing experience of this new Suave Professionals Avocado & Olive Oil shampoo, conditioner and leave-in conditioning cream! I highly recommend you try it for yourselves, I'm sure you'll love it as much as I do! I will buy this again, and can't wait to try the other new Suave Professionals hair care products! My dogs LOVED these Rachael Ray Nutrish treats! As soon as I opened the bags my dogs were all over me and couldn't wait to taste them. They really enjoyed the treats' smell. What I liked about these treats is the size, not too big and not too small, and the texture is great as well. They are soft enough to easily split them into smaller bites if desired, and I don't have to worry about my dogs swallowing them whole. My dogs loved the taste and kept begging for more, which of course made it hard for me to say no.

I love that these treats are healthier than other treat options available. They're natural, made with real chicken and real beef as the #1 ingredients, they contain no grains, and no artificial ingredients. I feel good feeding these to my dogs, and definitely recommend them! Will be buying these again!
P.S.: The bag these treats come in is resealable, so they stay fresh for later use, which I think is great!

The foam is soft, silky, and feels very luxurious when applied to the skin. I think it's great that it comes in the form of foam, which makes it very easy to apply evenly and massage into the skin. It makes it also very easy to rinse off when done. The product contains aloe and mint, which gently cleans and refreshes your facial skin. The smell is amazing, and I love how soft, clean and refreshed my face feels after each use. I've been using this face wash for a little over a week now, and it really helped me get rid of my breakouts and cleared my face nicely. Thanks to Smiley360 Christmas came early when I received my fragrances by COTY Smiley360 kit in the mailbox right before Christmas. Included were three free samples of great fragrances for testing and reviewing purposes.

These are the COTY fragrance samples I received: "Mad" by Katy Perry, "Embrace" by Vera Wang, and "Voyage Sport" (for men) by Nautica.

I have to say that out of these three fragrances my favorite scent was Vera Wang's "Embrace"! It's a nice and fresh fruity floral scent, a mix of Melon, Marigold, Gardenia, and creamy Soft Musks. A great every day light scent that is not too strong or overpowering. I really loved this one!

Next, let me tell you about the Katy Perry scent "Mad". This one is also a nice scent, with Vanilla as the dominant main notes, and crisp Apple Musk, white Peony, soft & whipped Fluffy Musk, Jasmine Petals, Magical Musk, and Glowing Amber as the very subtle undernotes. I like this scent, but the Vanilla as the main scent makes it seem more suitable for teens and tweens, in my opinion. My (almost) teenage daughter loved this one, so I passed it on to her to keep and use.

Lastly, I had my husband try Nautica's "Voyage Sport" scent. he said he liked this scent and I think it smells nice and is also a good every day scent. It is also usually available at a great price, so this is definitely a plus, too. :)

These fragrances make great gifts for your loved ones or yourself, I definitely recommend you check them out at your local stores. They're affordable and available in gift sets as well!
