Review of the #FrostyVoxBox from Influenster

In December 2014 I was lucky to get invited to the Frosty Vox Box Campaign from Influenster. I had just found out and signed up for Influenster a couple of weeks prior to being selected for this campaign, that's why I was even more excited to get picked for this campaign.
In late December I received my first Vox Box from Influenster, the #FrostyVoxBox.

The #FrostyVoxBox contained the following variety of products:

1.  Celestial Seasonings Candy Cane Lane Green Tea Decaffeinated Holiday Tea (1 pouch containing 2 tea bags)
2.  Boots No7 Protect & Perfect ADVANCED Serum (sample) 
3. McCormick Gourmet All Natural Thyme (full size)

5. Fruit Vines Bites Strawberry (full size)
6. Rimmel London Gentle Eye Make Up Remover (full size)

I received these items complimentary from Influenster for testing and reviewing purposes. After tasting and using these products, here is my honest opinion about each product:

1. As the name suggests, the Candy Cane Lane Green Tea Decaffeinated Holiday Tea from Celestial Seasonings is a perfect cup of tea for the holiday season! It has a nice, subtle, not bitter green tea flavor, together with a fresh minty note, which again is not strong, unlike other candy cane flavored drinks I had tasted before and therefore thought this may be a bad tasting experience. The Celestial  Seasonings Candy Cane Lane Green Tea Decaffeinated Holiday Tea actually tasted so delicious, I actually wished I had more of. 
   
2. I received one small trial size sachet of the Boots No7 Protect & Perfect ADVANCED Serum. The makers of this anti-aging advanced serum promise that "After 2 weeks, skin looks younger and more radiant; by 4 weeks skin looks clearer, and fine lines are visibly reduced. Results keep getting better with continued use. 80% of women said this serum provided the best anti-aging results they had ever seen.". While I would have loved to find out if these claims are true, the sample I received was far too small to see actual results. All I can say is that this serum felt amazingly soft and smooth when I applied it to my face/neck area. It left no oily residue or anything behind, but left my face feeling and looking refreshed.
   
3. I really liked the McCormick Gourmet All Natural Thyme. The flavor of this thyme is almost as good as using fresh thyme in your recipes, it really is that good! The use of it is very versatile also, you can use it with all kinds of different types of meats, you can use it in soup and stews, use it on veggies, etc. I actually made a lemon thyme oven roasted chicken, where I used salt, pepper, thyme, garlic and lemon slices inside the roast chicken, and I also seasoned the outside of the chicken with salt, pepper and thyme, and basted the chicken with a paprika and melted butter mixture. The chicken tasted really amazing and my whole family enjoyed it. This thyme is all around a perfect addition to anyone's spice collection in the kitchen!
   
4. I liked the NYC Expert Last Lip Color that I received. It feels nice and soft on my lips, moisturizes, and OH, the SHEEN of this lipstick! I like how shiny it looks. I'm usually not much of a lipstick wearer because they usually feel "thick" and "heavy" on my lips, which I just cannot stand. This one though feels light-weight, you barely notice you are wearing it. I liked the #SugarPlum color of the lipstick, it is not too dramatic and definitely suitable to wear for every day occasions. It doesn't last super long, though, but I still recommend this lipstick and I plan on buying a few more colors soon.
   
5. The Fruit Vines Bites Strawberry were really tasty! They are a bite-size, chewy, low fat and preservative-free snack, which you don't have to feel guilty about eating and sharing with your whole family. The size is just right to snack on, and the flavor is really rich and fruity. Definitely going to pick up some more for my family, since they found a new favorite!
   
6. The next product to review is the Rimmel London Gentle Eye Make Up Remover. This eye make up remover is gentle enough to use for contact wearers and people with sensitive eyes. It does not sting or irritate the eyes. It also claims on its package to "gently remove all eye make up, including long-lasting and waterproof formulas". While I think it worked quite well for regular make up, I have to say it did not work well for waterproof mascara and eyeliner. I resorted to washing my face off with my regular face wash, or even just with water and soap, which is why I would not really recommend buying it.
   
7. Now, on to the Rimmel London Scandaleyes Waterproof Kohl Kajal eyeliner: I absolutely love this eyeliner! For the firt time in forever, I was able to draw perfect, smudge-free lines on my upper eyelids, thanks to the smooth, creamy texture which made it super easy to apply. The shade is a nice and deep black, which makes my eyes just pop! I have received so many compliments wearing this eyeliner! The 'waterproof-ness' seems to be very true, since not even the Rimmel London Gentle Eye Make Up Remover I received together with this product was unable to remove this eyeliner completely. This may be the only downside t this eyeliner, that it is a little hard to take off completely. No matter how much you think you cleaned it off well enough, the net morning you usually wake up and have black under eye smudges. But nothing a regular face washing or shower in the morning won't take care off. I really DO LIKE this eyeliner a lot, and I already plan on buying more colors of it soon.
   
8. My overall favorite item of the #FrostyVoxBox is, hands down!, the EcoTools Styler + Smoother Hair Brush! I was so happy to see this great hair brush in the box! For far too long I've been putting off buying a new hair brush because I just had no clue which would be best and really work. The EcoTools Styler + Smoother Hair Brush features a versatile half-round design, which can be used just like you would use a round brush. It has a cushioned pad and soft bristles for easy detangling and smoothing of your hair, without ever hurting your scalp or ripping your hair. Hair brushing time in our house is definitely easier since we received this brush! My daughters have also long hair and they really love this brush too. No one ever even looks at our old hair brush. With the Eco-Vent aerodynamic design of the EcoTools Styler + Smoother Hair Brush you can blow-dry your hair 20% quicker, promises the EcoTools brand, hence resulting in less heat damage and faster hair styling. I rarely use the blow dryer for my hair, so I can't attest to this claim. I really like the design of the brush though, the bamboo handle is very elegant looking, it feels nice and smooth in your hand, and is yet a light-weight brush. One statement that the EcoTools made about their company's story on their website, which stood really out to me and made me appreciate and like this company even more, is the following: "We are inspired by beauty inside and out and in the world around us. While we always want to look our best, we feel great when we can make earth-conscious choices. Our products are inspired by the nature around us and instill the beauty that is nature." Two thumbs up, EcoTools!
